The mirror in white clay
is glazed with medium blue and has a dark blue on the raised
edges.
The terra-cotta mirror
is clear glazed so the natural color of the clay shows with a
highlight of dark navy blue on the raised edges.
The third color choice
has an evergreen glaze on the recessed portion of the tile with
a speckled warm beige on the raised edges.
Each mirror is made from
a total of eight tiles; four rectangular and four square tiles
in the corners. All three mirrors are overglazed with genuine
platinum and gold on the sun and moon.

The underglaze colors
for both these mirrors are identical. The differences in appearance
in the finished mirrors are due to the color of the clay. The
bears are almost 1/2" high which gives a very scuptured
effect.

Eight turtles on four
tiles are swimming head to tail in a square. The only difference
in the two is the clay body--the underglaze colors are the same.

Victorian Mirror
16" x 16" x 3/4"
A very elegant mirror
based on a Victorian wallpaper design. The mirror in white clay
is glazed with a tan that pools in the recessed areas when fired.
The edges are trimmed with green lustre and then the corner tiles
are overglazed with genuine gold. Eight tiles in total.
The terra-cotta mirror
is glazed with an aqua which runs when fired allowing the clay
to show through in the keystone design. The edges are trimmed
with a pewter glaze. The total effect is one of age and antiquity.

9h Lizard
Mirror
17" diameter x 1 1/8"
A truely stunning and unique
mirror made from four curving tiles. Lizards carved with such
fine detail that you can see their scales chase each other in
a circle. The bisque tiles are covered with a tan glaze and then
oxides, such as cobalt, manganese, iron, and copper, are mixed
with water and dripped on the wet glaze. During the firing, the
oxides fuse and melt into the glaze.
