Welcome!

My pottery designs are limited to handmade ceramic tiles that are transformed into functional pieces for the home or office. Each piece is designed by me and handmade using techniques that are thousands of years old.  By combining my love of making tiles with the belief that everything should have a purpose, I've created art to add joy to your everyday life. My work tends to be colorful and a bit on the whimsical side. I believe that art and beauty should surround us in our everyday environment and in the things we use. Several of my customers have said that it makes them smile. I can think of no better compliment.

Please remember that everything here is handmade and there will be variations in color and size which is what makes each piece one of a kind.

You can securely submit payment with VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards, or by e-check through PayPal by clicking on the Buy Now button at the bottom of each item page. There is no cost to you. If you aren't familiar with PayPal, click here for additional information.

My interest in hand built pottery began when doing archaeology fieldwork in Belize, Central America in 1984. To better understand how the Mesoamerican pottery was constructed, I took several pottery courses and began making my own designs. This led to craft shows, including the Lincoln Center Craft Show, Crafts on Columbus and many others. To improve my skill and knowledge, I've also taken courses in tilemaking at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Many of my designs show a strong Southwestern influence which blends well with all types of decor. All pieces are individually signed with the exception of the insect and embossed tiles (found in the "Everything Else" pages).

My studio is located in the scenic mountains of West Virginia's eastern panhandle. I'm currently working on an MA in archaeology (course work complete–the thesis might be completed when I reach retirement) and have a menagerie of animals, including ducks, chickens, a cat and two dogs for inspiration.
